OIL PAINTING CONSERVATION / RESTORATION

An intensive three days of: diagnosing damage, learning how to identify varnishes/coatings, safe cleaning, and lining. The student will become proficient in the applications of consolidating, repairing and conserving a valued piece of art. The student will receive a detailed notebook outlining all the chemicals, procedures; suggest price structure forms, reference materials and business start up forms. Each student can bring as many projects as he or she wish, no larger than 36" by 36 ". Teacher cannot guarantee that they all will be completed, but if the student works prudently, it is a possibility that the projects could pay for the course; even have the student return with a profit! If the student does not have a painting with tears or holes, then damaged items will be available for observation.
